"And on the Seventh Day" Book Series Cover

The "And on the Seventh Day" Book Series Cover is a conceptual design project that reimagines the visual identity of Paulo Coelho’s trilogy, which explores profound themes of love, morality, and self-discovery. The series includes:

Veronika Decides to Die, The Devil and Miss Prym, By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept.

Each cover features hand-drawn illustrations of the central figures, enhancing the raw, emotional depth of the stories. Symbolism is a key component, aligning with his literary style, where metaphors play a crucial role in his storytelling.

Veronika Decides to Die features a lotus flower, symbolizing purity, rebirth, resilience, and enlightenment—echoing Veronika’s journey toward rediscovering the beauty of life. The Devil and Miss Prym incorporates layered dark red and bright yellow tones to represent the duality of good and evil, visually illustrating the protagonist’s moral dilemma. By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept is adorned with cherry blossoms, symbolizing love, beauty, and the fleeting nature of human emotions.

The book size is standardized at 5.5 in x 8.5 in, ensuring a cohesive and balanced presentation across the series. The design seamlessly blends artistic expression with thematic depth, capturing the essence of Coelho’s storytelling through visual narrative.
